Moderator of Presbytery - Ruling Elder Dennis Kauppila
​
Dennis was born and grew up in Detroit Michigan and was very active in his church’s Luther League. He attended the University of Vermont and was awarded a B.S. in Animal Science, then a M.S. in Agricultural Economics. After a career with the University of Vermont Extension, Dennis retired in 2015.
​
He is married to Becky and they have a son Jesse and a daughter Rachel. They attend the Presbyterian Church of Barnet, joining the church in 1988. Dennis was ordained as an elder and began serving on session in Barnet in 1994. He has served as assistant treasurer and assistant clerk, and began as Clerk in 2017. He is "curious and hopeful" about his term as Assistant Moderator for PNNE.

Vice Moderator of Presbytery - Rev. Devin Dickinson
​
I have been serving the North Turner Union Presbyterian Church since January 2019. I am engaged in bi-vocational ministry, meaning that I serve this congregation but I also serve full time as a healthcare chaplain. I am originally from Boston and have only lived in Maine for four years. I have a bachelors in Religion from Atlantic Union College (South Lancaster,MA) with a minor in psychology. And I have a masters in divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary (Princeton,NJ). After seminary I did a year long residency at Baptist Health Louisville (Louisville, KY) before my husband and I moved to Maine.

Resource Presbyter - The Rev. Dr. Scott DeBlock
​
Rev. DeBlock has been a church pastor for 34 years, most recently engaged in interim/transitional ministry in Albany Presbytery and now in PNNE at Old South (First Presbyterian Church, Newburyport, MA).
Scott lives in Scarborough, ME, with his wife Heidi, a critical care physician at Stephen’s Memorial Hospital in Norway, ME. They have three grown daughters spread from London, England, to Washington, DC. Scott is a Yankees fan trying to endure living in Red Sox nation, and is still seeking the authentic golf swing.

Above all, he is excited to come alongside the congregations and leaders of this presbytery in the common mission of sharing God’s love to our region.

Stated Clerk - The Rev. T. J. DeMarco
​
Rev. DeMarco also serves as Stated Clerk for the Presbytery of Boston and is pastor of Woodbury Union Church, Presbyterian, in Warwick, RI. T. J., his wife Molly and three children live in Pawtucket, RI. In his spare time T. J. enjoys cycling, hiking, and reading.

Treasurer - Elder Stewart Gates
​
Ruling Elder Stewart Gates is well suited to be Treasurer for PNNE. He received a Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut and has owned a Financial Services business from 2000 to present.
​
Stewart has been the Treasurer of the Presbyterian Church of Barnet, VT, from 2007 to present. He is a Registered Representative for securities 6/63; is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC); is health and life insurance licensed; and has completed online training for QuickBooks.
